Banbhore Ceramic Industries was set up in 1984, in technical collaboration by Mr.S.P.Shaikh and J.A.Qureshi a venture to manufacture Magnesite, High Alumina and Silica products. Today, the Company enjoys the position of being the largest manufacturer of Chrome Magnesite Bricks, Tundish Boards and other Refractory and Monolithic products in Pakistan.In 2002 BCI had a technical collaboration with Orient Abrasives Limited, India. From which BCI transfer the technology of Slide Gate Refractories from OAL and become the first and the only manufacturer of Slide Gate RefractoriesAn ISO 9001 certification and a strong management have led the way for the Company to become a large organization, recognized for its quality offerings.

The Company offers a wide range of Refractory and Monolithic products for the iron , steel , cement , glass & sugar industry and enjoy large domestic and international clientele. An in-house R&D facility supports the division’s product development initiatives. This makes BCI the preferred choice for quality products. We have a well stocked modern laboratory with latest equipment, for testing of all kinds of raw materials and refractory products to keep a strict watch on quality of our products.

Headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan, BCI's manufacturing facilities are located in 1) Pakistan Steel industrial estate Karachi , 2) Korangi industrial area Karachi , 3)Port Qasim industrial estate Karachi, 4) Hattar N.W.F.P have the distinction of being ISO - 9001 quality certified. BCI mines are located in N.W.F.P & Balochistan province
